Residence La Madre

La madre country house is situated on the top of the Leivi hills, from where you can enjoy stunning views of the Ligurian landscape, with its silvery green olive trees and limpid blue sky which covers the whole of the Ligurian Gulf.
Our appartments are set in this idyllic and peaceful spot. We have six comfortable and independent flats, which are well-epuipped with 2 to 6 beds. All of these flats are equipped with terraces from where you can enjoy stunning views, sunbathe and of course, eat out. Our appartments have been made with natural materials like wood and lime. Given the wide range of attractions available in the area, our country house is suitable for all types of holidays and holiday makers.
From the appartments , the terraces and from the swimming pool in our small complex you can take in this typical Ligurian landscape with its olive trees, chestnut trees, villas and cottages hidden amongst the Mediterranean vegetation. This view goes right down to the coastline and offers further striking views of the Tigullio Gulf.
Leivi is a tourist and residential resort which lies above the pretty town of Chiavari , and to the South of Genoa (40 km), Portofino and Santa Margerita Ligure (20 km), Rapallo and Zoagli and to the North of Lavagna (famous for its slate mines), Sestri Levante known as the Pearl of the Riviera and the famous "5 Terre", which is a National Park and UNESCO natural heritage Park (35 km).
La Madre country house provides an excellent base for visiting the Ligurian Levante Riviera with its famous towns, or for sunbathing on the nearby beaches and swimmimng in the limpid Ligurian Sea.
This area offers countless possibilities for leisure activities with its museums, old historical buildings, the largest Acquarium in Italy (just 30 minutes away by train or by car), not to mention outdoor activities like trekking, mountain biking, and diving in the Portofino Marine Park.
Our country house also has a children's play area, a swimming pool, table tennis, a mini football table and a barbacue area.
In the surrounding area there are also horse stables , an indoor swimming pool, sailing, fishing, Tennis courts, diving, piano bars, play parks and a mini golf course (5 km) and a golf course (8 km).
To whet your appetites, we can reccomend some excellent restaurants and Trattorie specialising in Italian and Ligurian cuisine, situated along the coast or in the midst of the mediterranean landscape.

All the appartments have kitchens equipped with dishes, pots, gas rings, microwave ovens, TVs and Satellite TV is available on request.
Included in the price, is the bed linen and bathroom towels which are changed on a weekly basis and the rooms are also cleaned on a weekly basis.
The beds have wooden slats and orthopaedic, anti-allergic mattresses. Blankets and duvets are supplied.
We have a private car parking area and just 200 metres from our house there is a bus service to the nearby town of Chiavari and to the train station.
We also sell home made wine, olive oil and honey.

...How to reach us

Take the motorway Genova-Livorno and exit at Chiavari then take the direction for Leivi. Continue along the provincial road of the Bocco for about 4 km going up hill for about 200m osl. Take the detour on your left for Garbuggi-S.Terenziano which also gives indication of our location. Keep going straight ahead for about another 200 m and you’ll find us.

By train: get off at Chiavari and take the bus for Bocco of Lievi. Get off at the bus stop "palestra di Leivi" (sports centre) and walk along the road for Garbuggi-S. Terenziano for about 200 m.
