Villa Icidia is situated 4 km from Frascati, south of Rome, in a pleasant district well known as "Castelli Romani", including the five picturesque towns of Frascati, Grotta Ferrata, Monteporzio Catone, Monte Compatri and Rocca Priora. The Castelli Romani area is famous all over the world for its enchanting holiday resorts, wonderful panoramas, art treasures like the numerous monuments, cathedrals, villas, fountains, public gardens etc.
Villa Icidia is a characteristic example of the natural and artistic beauties in the Castelli Romani.
It was an ancient Roman villa brought to life again by Mr. Serafino Bisirri, who saw it one night about twenty years ago, passing by with a friend and "fell in love" immediately with the entire structure.
From that moment on Mr. Bisirri dedicated his life to fulfill the very ambitious dream of transforming the old and forgotten remainings in a nice hotel/restaurant without destroying the original shape of the villa.
It took many years, a lot of patience and the typical strength of any man with a big passion.
Nowadays Villa Icidia is the result of that long-yearned dream like the happy ending that any good fairy tale should have.
The hotel, surrounded by a luxuriant park, offers a full range of facilities to suit any need and requirement during the whole year. It has twenty rooms provided with air conditioning system, TV, radio and mini-bar.
Moreover the hotel offers an elegant and comfortable restaurant, supported by our well-experienced and high-qualified cooks. Not only do we offer the typical Roman food but also many fish and meat specialities invented by our chefs.
