If you are looking for something reminiscent of traditions, the Montalto family can offer you the possibility of passing your holidays in the old residences and bagli (typical country houses) of the 1800s which are on its Estate in the heart of the Marsala Classico area. They are renovated and with all amenities, overlooking the sea, close to the town centre. The buildings are in an enchanting setting, immersed in nature, amongst hundred-year old palms, and vineyards which reach down to the sea in the silence of the countryside and surrounded by the unmistakable bouquet of Mediterranean fragrances which blend into the sea breeze. They are part of an old, noble property where, for generations, the family has cultivated a product which has now become a legend throughout the world, Marsala wine. From the Estate, looking over the Sicily Channel, it is possible to admire the play of light and colours on the sea, effects created by the sun, the moon or by the night lamps of the boats of the fishermen. Inside, the rooms are pleasant, large and full of light, fresh and airy with classic and functional furnishings. Their privileged position means that guests are within easy reach of places which are unique in all the world: the Egadi Islands are right close by, the natural reserve of the Stagnone, between the salines and the windmills, Mothia and its archaeological remains, Marsala, Mazara del Vallo, Trapani, San vito lo Capo, the natural reserve of the Zingaro, Scopello, Erice, Segesta, the quarries of Cusa, and Selinunte. In a day, it is possible to visit the Valley of the Temples, Sciacca, Palermo and Monreale.
