Farm Holiday Girfalco Country House

Girfalco is a recently renovated Italian farmhouse, situated in the peaceful hills above Urbino.

The first thing that will strike you about our house is the simply stunning and unrivalled view. It's beautiful.

We have an enviable position on the tip of a hill, with a 360 degree view of rolling hills, woodland and fields. You can sit on the patio in the evening, enjoying an aperitivo whilst watching the sun set behind the Apennine mountains and the wild deer wondering through the fields below.

Then there's the peace. And the weather. And the delicious Italian food we can cook for you. Come and join us for a feast of freshly cooked, local dishes accompanied by a glass (or three) of local wine. We also have lots of beers from all over Europe.

We're just a 15 minute drive from the pretty and important renaissance town of Urbino, birthplace of Raphael. Go there to enjoy the museums, art galleries, cafes, restaurants, the market and cheery buzz of an Italian town.

Then there's the beaches. We're 45 minutes from the coast, where you can relax on any number of beaches, and go for a fantastic dinner in Pesaro, famous for its fish.

Or you could just sit back, enjoy the views, and immerse yourself completely in the countryside. Follow the dusty and winding paths, climb up and down narrow valleys, and take in the breathtaking sights that will take your breath away.

FROM ROME
Highway exit: Arezzo, follow direction for the town center, after 10,6 Km turn right “circonvallazione” (ring road), after 3 Km turn into SS 73 and drive about 40 Km in direction Sansepolcro. From here drive the SS 73 Bis direction Passo Bocca Trabaria-Urbania, about 50 Km.
Do not enter the town of Urbania, but drive towards Urbino, always on the SS 73 Bis. After about 7 Km, turn left for Pieve di Cagna, after 6 Km on the left turn in the dirt road, drive up to the top of the hill, you are at Girfalco.

FROM BOLOGNA
Highway exit: Pesaro, at the round crossroad turn right to Urbino, after 8 Km you arrive at Montecchio, at the round crossroad drive the high road on the right to Mercatale, after about 17 Km drive out the SS to Pieve di Cagna, drive straight on towards Urbania, from the cemetery after 3,2 Km turn right on the dirt road, drive up to the top of the hill, you are at Girfalco.

FROM ANCONA
Highway exit: Fano, drive towards Rome, Urbino, after about 35 Km you reach Urbino. At the first round crossroad turn right to San Marino, other three round crossroads follow, drive on in the same direction, from the fourth round crossroad, always in San Marino direction, after 4,1 Km you reach Gadana, turn on the left for Pieve di Cagna, drive on 7.9 Km, then turn left to Urbania, after 3,2 Km turn right on the dirt road, drive up to the top of the hill, you are at Girfalco.
