Farm Holiday Il Casale Di Martignano

The farmhouse “Il Casale di Martignano” can offer its guests six rooms on two different levels in what was once the stable of the farm. They all have heating and air-conditioning, a TV set and a bathroom. The rooms are simply furnished in wood and forged iron which make for a simple, yet elegant atmosphere.
Each room has its own small garden in which one can enjoy the exclusive style of this place.

Located in the farm’s former barn, our dining room – with hand-made tables arranged around the grand fire-place – exudes elegant charm. In season, the pergola-covered patio with its beautiful views of the lake is the venue of choice for meals. The surrounds constitute a fitting setting for marriages and other special events.

...Notes and Curiosity

A private beach is located on the property, with a large, lawned area with wooden umbrellas adding to the atmosphere. Every type of beach activity is available: lounges, (sdraio), canoes, paddle-boats, (derive), hobie-cat and windsurfers are available for rent.
The beach is open every day during summer (from the third week of June to the second week of September), and sandwiches, ice-creams and drinks are on sale.

At the “Casale di Martignano” it is possible to go riding thanks to the presence of a sports association running a riding round. The Riding School “Il Sorriso” offers the possibility of enjoying marvelous rides in the splendid natural reserves around lake Martignano which is just a few kilometers away from Rome in an area free from the hectic life of the city.

From Rome:
from the G.R.A. (Rome’s ring road) take exit n. 5 (Cassia bis): drive along Cassia bis as far as km. 28.8, exit Martignano: drive along the straight road downhill for about 500 meters and then turn left to Valle del Baccano. Go down the Valle del Baccano for about three kilometers and turn left to take the road to Martignano; drive along it for about 2 km. until you reach “Il Casale di Martignano”.

From Viterbo:
drive along the Cassia heading for Rome, follow the sign Valle del Baccano; drive along it for about 2 km and then turn right to take the road for Martignano until you reach “Il Casale di Martignano”.

The reason why you can choose between two roads to reach the farmhouse depending on which way you are driving along the Cassia is the particular nature of the road for the Valle del Baccano which starts and ends in two different locations along the Cassia.
