The main farmhouse which hosts the Cantico della Natura, has remained intact for centuries and is entirely made of ancient local stones, the result of the work of patient stonecutters.

Subdivided in two blocks, that go back to two distinct periods, perfectly harmonised in a building in the form of an L. There are two agricultural annexes, reconstructed after the collapse of the same rock, mother of all the forms, sometimes poor, sometimes surprisingly rich.

The two apartments represent the ideal place for families in search of space, comfort and privacy. Located in front of the swimming pool with a splendid panorama of Lake Trasimeno, they allow the continuation of the internal environments and an immediate contact with the outside, for the joy and freedom of the little ones.

The 10 rooms, restored and furnished with original furniture from the end of the 1800s, have been inspired by the months of the year and the phases of the life of the farmer which characterise them, from which they take their name and inspire a pleasant welcome:

- from the welcoming parchment, which provides information about the seasons of the life of the farmer, together with a sweet gift of fruit from our farming business

- to the soft beds, with Umbrian cloths and surrounded by Persian rugs
- to the bathrooms, each one different, in shape, material, colour, furnishing, which have original showers and welcoming baths
- from the attention to detail and the different needs: from the kettle which allows you to taste a selection of teas and infusions, from the harmonious scent of incense available for you, to the characteristic kit for cleaning shoes to the bathing products scented with olive oil
- to the attention to technology, with the telephone, TV, satellite TV and internet connection in every room
- to a selection of books on the theme of the room which gives the guests a better understanding of the theme

The Cantico della Natura is located in an ideal place in Umbria, a few kilometres from the border with Tuscany, in the heart of extraordinary natural beauty, embellished by the splendours of art and history: Perugia is just 18km away, Assisi is 35km, Gubbio 40km, Montalcino and Montepulciano are 40km, whereas Siena is 75km.

The park of Lago Trasimeno with its deep blue waters and magical sunsets, that you can enjoy from the Cantico, preserve the atmosphere of another era in its village. A paradise for lovers of nature, sport and complete relaxation.

...How to reach us

By car
South direction from Rome on motorway A1 there are two options:

1.Orte exit and take the E45 until Perugia. Continue, do not exit at Perugia; continue in the fourth lane in the direction of Florence- Lago Trasimeno until the exit at Magione
2.Alternatively, take the A1 until the Valdichiana-Bettolle exit, then take the fourth lane towards Perugia until the Magione exit.

North direction from Bologna there are two options:

1.Take the motorway A1 in the direction of Florence continuing then towards Rome until the Valdichiana-Bettolle exit and then take the fourth lane in the direction of Perugia until the Magione exit.
2.Alternatively, continue down the highway in the direction of Ancona until the Cesena Nord exit and then the 45 until Perugia. Continue, do not exit at Perugia on the fourth lane in the direction of Florence-Lago Trasimeno until the Magione exit.

At the Magione exit, turn right in the direction of residential Magione and after about 1km, turn left at the first crossroads, towards Chiusi S. Arcangelo. After about 1km, there is a railway bridge which you will pass under; a further 20m, turn left following the signs for Montesperello. Continue a further 2km and then, on the right, there is the first sign for Montesperello and a road which will lead up to the old village (this street is steep and not in great condition, so we do not recommend it).

Continue on the main road and after about 1km (and having passed a row of houses along the street) you will find, on the right, the second sign for Montesperello (and the first sign in wood for the Cantico) with a tar road which leads to the old village.

Having arrived at the top, with some historical buildings to your side, looking in front of the old abandoned little church, take a left on the uncovered road (where at the beginning you will find the second wooden sign for the Cantico) which leads to the small cemetery of Montesperello. Before arriving at the cemetery (following a third wooden sign for the Cantico), on the right you will find a road that rises into the forest. Continue straight for about 1km (with the help of the wooden signs) and you arrive at the Cantico della Natura.
