Biologic Farm Holiday Le Macchie Alte

"Le Macchie Alte" is an organic biological estate of 420 hectares(a little over 1,000 acres) in which we farm olives, cereals and forage and we rear Maremman Cattle, Cinta Senese pigs, boars, rabbits, chicken and bees. If you want to see the countryside, "Le Macchie Alte" is a wildlife reserve wich you can explore on foot, on horseback or on mountain bike, meeting hares, pheasantn, squirrels, buzzards and sometime even teh wild boar along the way.
Here you'll have dinner in the veranda on large wooden tables. Our cooks have a lifetime experience in preparing traditional Maremman recipes. We just give them what we grow organically and the miracles are their department.
Seven kilometres from here is the Thermal Baths of Saturnia: we have fixed price of tickets.

From Roma take the Autostrada A12 in the direction of Civitavecchia, then continue on the SS1 Aurelia towards Grosseto until the sign for Manciano/Saturnia. From Manciano continue to Poderi di Montemerano.
From Grosseto take the SS1 Aurelia for Rome until Albinia. Follow the signs to Manciano,then towards Montemerano.
On arrival at Poderi di Montemerano take the first turning on the left(you'll see the sign), then left again until you get to the top of the hill
